Fall is here! There is nothing like a stroll on a crisp morning in Downtown Frederick. One of my favorite weekend things to do is to grab a fast breakfast from one of the local spots and stroll around town. Here are a few of my top quick breakfast spots in Frederick!
These donuts are the real deal folks, sorry Krispy Creme lovers! These babies are homemade each day and come in many varieties. Weekend mornings will have a line out of the door filled with hungry customers waiting to get their Glory fix. My favorite donuts are the lavender, French toast and classic chocolate with sprinkles! Make sure you get their early to get your hands on some before they sell out! If they do run out you can still enjoy delicious traditional breakfast favorites but recreated to be plant-based!
If you follow me on instastories (@lacegraceblog) then you know how much I LOVE Frederick Coffee Company. It is a place I visit often to sit down, order a coffee + breakfast sandwich and get some work done. Not in the mood to stay? Grab a coffee and a breakfast wrap to go! I personally love the ‘Good Morning’ wrap which has- scrambled egg, bacon, pepper jack cheese & onion wrapped & grilled in a garlic & herb tortilla. Their honey mustard sauce is to die for (and comes on the Oinkin Rooster Bagel) so I sometimes ask for it on my wrap!
Beans & Bagels is a power house and has a die hard following in Frederick. Located on East Patrick Street, it is usually bursting at the seams on weekend mornings (but don’t worry the wait is worth it). With a delicious menu and flavorful coffee it is easy to see why it is so popular. I personally love grabbing a lox on everything bagel and an iced coffee! When I have friends come to town, this is usually a go to spot on my Frederick tour!
This place has AMAZING slow drip, pour over coffee and is also a bike rental shop. What a cool concept! Gravel & Grind serves simple breakfast items from local bakeries and farms. Grab a cup of coffee to go and walk around some of the antique shops on Carroll Street. Want to know more? Check out my previous blog post about Gravel & Grind when they first opened- here.
Now.. walk around! Downtown Frederick is full of charm… especially during fall! Head to Baker Park or sip your coffee in front of City Hall! Enjoy!
