Wings are good anytime of the year; but for me especially around football season (remember these Mostly Bakes Parmesan Wings from last fall?) and summer time!  When I dined at the Black Hog BBQ a few months ago (recap of our delicious meal here) I picked up a jar of their delicious Kansas City BBQ Sauce and vowed to make my own wings with them. I finally did and these Kansas City Chicken Wings couldn’t have turned out better! These are perfect apps for your backyard cookouts with friends and family. Check out the delicious recipe below!

Kansas City Wings

Ingredients

  • 1 dozen chicken wings
  • 1 cup Black Hog Kansas City BBQ Sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

  2. In a skillet with the olive oil, lightly fry the chicken wings on all sides until golden brown

  3. Place wings on a baking pan, covered in aluminum and sprayed with cooking spray

  4. Sprinkle wings with salt and pepper

  5. Bake in oven for 20 mins

  6. Remove wings from oven and brush with the Kansas City Sauce 

  7. Increase oven heat to 400 degrees

  8. Bake wings in oven for 15 mins or until the sauce is bubbling, turning on other side halfway through

  9. Add more BBQ sauce if desired

  10. Enjoy
