Christmas is right around the corner and I could not be more excited. The house has been decorated for weeks but I have been slacking on my Christmas shopping again this year- something I promise myself year after year I will start earlier on.
Another task on my Christmas to do list was to figure out how to make a cheery table for Christmas Eve dinner for our family. I wanted to do something different than my usual china/silver and needed to shop!
I wrote about Mud Pie Gifts last month (here) when I was decorating for our annual Friendsgiving event. I seriously love this place! They really do have the cutest seasonal decor along with everyday home decor, kitchen and entertaining items.
I found these awesome tartan chargers on the Mud Pie website as my inspiration for the table which looks great on top of our solid green tablecloth. (chargers are sold out right now but keep your eyes peeled for a re-stock)
My normal china is cream with blue flowers so I knew I needed something crisp and white to really make the chargers pop. I headed to Home Goods and found the most adorable (I love the little hob knobs), thick and durable ceramic plates along with some red fringed napkins.
To tie the look together I made a fun floral center piece with red roses, pheasant feathers, boxwood, pine and holly and paired it with my Mud Pie Pine Cone Candle Holders (which can also be used during the fall!)
I hope everyone is enjoying this festive time of year! I hope these pictures spark inspiration for your own holiday table!
