Nashville Tennessee is famous for their spicy hot chicken and the best place to give a try is the legendary Hattie B’s. There are two locations in Nashville, the newest and less crowded in West Nashville and the original in Midtown. Either location is a good choice and each location is bound to have a line around the block.
The first full day we were in Nashville we attempted to pay Hattie B’s a visit and waited in line for about 30 minutes (no reservations taken) before giving up for the day. We noticed the restaurant took carry out orders with notice so we decided to go that route the next day and take our feast to go. The Hubs and I both ordered large white chicken (mine ‘medium heat’ and his ‘damn hot’) and ordered pimento mac & cheese, red skin potato salad, baked beans and black eyed pea salad to share. Everything there is so cheap you can order the whole menu! Hattie B’s I am in love!
Pro Tip: The perfect spot to take your to go meal is to the nearby Centennial Park. (recap of our morning visit to the park here). Also if your lunch date and you agree on a spice level- go with the half bird meal and share.. or don’t and get your own. 😉
