After a 3 hour flight delay we finally made it to Nashville. We checked into our hotel (Holiday Inn Express- Downtown Nashville) and headed straight for honky tonk row which was only a 5 minute walk. Starving, We decided to head to ACME Feed & Seed for some grub and booze. ACME was way better than expected (and we had already heard great things) and turned out to be our favorite spot of the trip. ACME was built in 1890 and has three floors all with completely separate feels. We headed to the roof top (The Hatchery) to take in some views of the Cumberland River, Lower Broadway and the Titans’ Football Stadium. The 3rd floor also acts as a music and event venue.
The second floor is a sushi lounge with large comfy couches, photo-booth and craft cocktails.
The first floor (and where we spent the most time) is a modern version of a classic honky tonk with casual southern food, live music and communal seating. We ordered our food at the counter and grabbed a seat at the bar. I ordered the ‘Rule the Roost’- hot chicken sandwich with green peppercorn aioli, american cheese & pickles. The Hubs ordered the ‘Overnight Sensation’- overnight smoked beef brisket sandwich. Both were mouthwatering.
We gulped down a few more brews before heading out for some honky tonkin’. Like I mentioned before- ACME Feed and Seed was amazing and a must visit it you find yourself in Nashville.
Pro Tip: Head over on a Sunday late afternoon to get a free beer token with every beer purchase after 5! (we got a lot of free beer…)
