This past weekend a bunch of restaurant participated in the Downtown Frederick Cooking School event. The crab dip from Firestone’s Culinary Tavern is to die for and one of my favorite items on the menu. I have to order each time we visit. (proof here!) So when my friend Maria suggested we sign up for the Firestone’s cooking class, I was in! We all met at the Firestone’s Market on Market and headed upstairs with Chef Andrew Mayers to learn how to make their pimento cheese dip and famous crab dip! The group split up into teams and learned step by step how to make each dip along with taste testing of course. Our leftovers were packed up for us to snack on at home along with a copy of the recipes. Mr. Firestone even stopped in to say hi! What a fun time! Cannot wait for the next Downtown Frederick Cooking Class!
