The Great Frederick Fair

The Frederick Fair Grounds are home to many events throughout the year (like thisthis, and this) but my all time favorite event is naturally The Great Frederick Fair! Ask most Fredericktonians and they will agree- The GFF is the best! Yeah Yeah the rides are great and super fun for the kiddos but there is so much more. Great local food, (forget the normal carni food) beautiful farm animals, shows/events (like the demolition derby, tractor pull) concerts and so much more!
The hubs and I headed for our annual fair date night last night and had a blast. We walked around to each animal “house,” (my favorite are the cows!)  and checked out the “tractor row.” Next, it was off to our usual spots;  Hemp’s Meat Pavilion for dinner and South Mountain Creamery stand for a scoop(s) of ice cream.  Before leaving, we checked out all the winning produce and strolled around the ride area to see the beautiful lights from the Ferris wheel.
If you live near the Frederick area or do and just haven’t had a chance to visit- GO! Only a few more days left!

I can't even lie. I laughed at the placement of your puled pork sandwich hahaha! I love how you captured the animals (especially the horse). This may be a stupid question, but what are the sheep wearing? Obviously I'm a city girl haha

Mylina! Hahaha! I had the comeback of "oh its actually BBQ Beef" but looks like I have a picture of a cow right before it! Fail! The sheeps are covered to help keep their coats clean (from dirt and well you know what else!) before the are judged for 1st place, 2nd place, etc. 🙂
