When you discover a great brunch spot, you must share it with the world. Spoons, located in Federal Hill, is a must for brunch if you find yourself in the Baltimore, MD area. My friend and Baltimorean, Allie, hosted myself and our other college roomies a few weekends ago and took us to Spoons. She had me at pulled pork eggs benedict!
We couldn’t resist sharing an order of the O nuts which are just like the famous New Orleans’ Beignets but with a B-more twist-beignets topped with powdered sugar. Ashley and I ordered some delicious brewed coffee while Allie opted for an iced caramel latte (Ah-maz-ing!)
Everything on the menu looked mouth watering but here is what we ordered. (P.S. it was hard to decide between brunchy food versus their lunch menu because everything sounded good) Of course we each passed around our plates so we could each try each item. Thats friendship right there folks!
scrambled eggs, black bean chili, spinach, cheddar, salsa verde, sour cream with potatoes and she added chorizo!!! (OMG!)
2 eggs any way, black bean chili, corn tortillas, queso fresco, salsa verde with potatoes
I ordered the homemade buttermilk biscuits topped with house smoked pulled pork, poached eggs, charred chili hollandaise. You guys!!!! this dish was spectacular. You can tell the biscuits are indeed homemade- I could eat them everyday.
With great service and so many delicious items on the menu, I cannot wait to come back!
Thanks Spoons Baltimore for the great time and delicious food!
