Buttermilk Panna Cotta

 After getting my wisdom teeth out Friday, I was in dire need of something soft and tasty.  I had some leftover buttermilk from baking irish soda bread and only needed a few more ingredients to make a Buttermilk Panna Cotta recipe I  saw on {cupcakes and cashmere}.  It was super easy to make, I only wish I had some fresh fruit to top it off with!

The recipe can be found {here} and below:

1 T. Cold Water
1 ½ t. unflavored Gelatin
1 ¼ C. Heavy Cream
7 T. Sugar
2” piece of Vanilla Bean, split and seeds scraped
1 ¾ C. Buttermilk
1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the water to soften.
2. In a medium pot, heat together the Heavy Cream, Sugar, and Vanilla Bean until just before it comes to a boil
3. Take the cream off the heat, and stir in the Gelatin, followed by the Buttermilk
4. Strain and pour into appropriate serving containers.
5. Refrigerate thoroughly.

 {The Ingredients}
 {Heating up the sugar, vanilla and whipping cream}
 {Water and unflavored Gelatin}
